10 Years ago today

The Ark of the Covenant is in some giant warehouse in the US! just kidding. I have seen a lot of stuff on Roswell and the changes in the official story are rather odd. I will check out your link. I like to keep an open mind - keeps dust from accumulating.

Getting back to Di - she was more than just another member of the royal family. She had a lot of worthy causes that she championed. I felt sorry for her considering that her husband had been in an affair with another woman since the day they were married.

What I remember most was the huge crowd of people lined up along the route and the beautiful sound of the bells of Westminster Abbey

Update: Just visited the Haut site - very intriguing

Yeah Di had the common touch...she had a great way with people - however - she was also a great manipulator of the media. When she wanted them for her means, they were there...when she didn't want them around...they were there...of course....

I think she wanted to have her cake and eat it.

Being an ocean away, we only got the occasional glimpse of her - usually in context with a)either her charitable activities or b)the problems with Charles or after the divorce, the press, or both, hence we didn't see all the other stuff and had a more restrictive view. But the media always reports everything, right?

i had never heard of her before she died. then again i was like. uhm 9? it was ten years ago, right? lols.

yeah don't worry about it....was some broad from somewheres....

Did you see the movie "The Queen". It was about the aftermath of Di's death. I was surprised but found that I liked the movie - not typically one I would go see. Can't testify to its accuracy but Prince Philip came off looking like a horse's rear end, while Prince Charles and Tony Blair seemed to grasp the gravity of the situation to the British public.

Hahaha yeah watched it last week...

That guy who played Prince Phillip......wasn't he the guy that played the boss of Clint, Sutherland, Garner and Lee-Jones in Space Cowboys? And I recognise him from the Green Mile and Deep Impact...
