Hello,

I cannot believe that right at the end of my summer holiday (I teach) I have only now discovered this website! A superb resource for Burbs fans across the globe.
I'm Jim, from England. My dad introduced me to The Burbs when I was probably around 13. We were at Blockbuster Video (remember that, UK fans?!) and I couldn't find what I was after, probably a wrestling video I wasn't allowed anyway. Dad said, it's The Burbs, or nothing.
So, home we went and my life was changed forever.
I cannot wait for the Blu-Ray Peterson version to be released. I don't even own a Blu-Ray player but I'm getting one now!

On another note, anyone got a spare copy of the OST for sale?

Cheers,
Jim.

Welcome! It's amazing how many Europeans love this movie and have found this board. I can't believe I once thought it was a small little film that no one outside the U.S. had seen. Glad to have you here.

Yeah, you better get your Blu-ray soon, even if you have to got Banff, Canada.

Welcome new neighbor! :)

We had Blockbuster in Scandinavia too back in the days, I think a few still exist in Denmark (Copenhagen) as well.

Ah, the time when we could actually RENT an ENTIRE VCR, didn't even have to own one. (of course, as a kid I couldn't live without one so I had a VCR)...

OST? I'm a bit l..ost, Cheese in Norwegian?

Yeah I'm going to Paris, France for the Blu-Ray.

OST= Original SoundTrack my friend.
A copy on Ebay.co.uk for £35 right now which is a little steep! Seems to be out of circulation.

Thinking back and racking my brains you know it may not even have been Blockbuster, but infact its predecessor called Tempo Video.

Welcome aboard, neighbour. Good to have you here and I hope you enjoy it.

Regarding the OST: No, I don't have a spare copy for you but just a little hint: The whole soundtrack has been published on youtube and with the corresponding youtube grabber you can easily download the tracks in mp3 format. This might be a good start.

"Ray comes up with a winning idea"

I listen to it on Youtube. Welcome to Mayfield Place, we just love it here,... don't we?

Welcome to the neighbourhood!

I spent so much of my youth in Blockbuster Video shops in England too :D As for the OST, I got a new copy on eBay a few years ago for about £25, but they never seem to go cheap. I do love mine though!

Welcome to the neighbourhood, it's always nice to meet a new fan:)

what is OST?

oh nevermind I saw someone put that it was a soundtrack- I never knew there was an official soundtrack to this movie. hmm...
