To me - This entire month is the month of the Burbs, and during this month - every day is a The Burbs day
Burbs Day 2017!
Great drawings from your children! I love them! And nice to see you passing on The Burbs to the next generation
I hadn't watched The Burbs for a few months so that it would be a bit more special on Burbs Day. But now that it's passed I think I need to go back and rewatch a few more times over the next few weeks

I've never seen that.
What do you Burbanites think, when will we celebrate the 30th anniversary Burbs Day? The movie was shot in 1988 but it was released in 1989. I tend to take the release date, so 30th anniversary Burbs Day would be in 2019.
Walter, I have your dog.
If I could afford it at the time - I'd like to be part of a group that visit the location where The Burbs was filmed, I do believe the location is real - and the houses still exist (aren't they owned by Burbank studios?), not sure on this...
...And if they do, they probably arrange tours - we really should gather a team, and prepare for this, if anyone is in?

Well, the release date was February 19th 1989. That might make a good date. I wish we knew the exact date the film was set on, because that would probably make a better anniversary date.
I wonder if we'll get any more DVDs/BluRays released for the 30th anniversary? I'm still hoping for a Joe Dante commentary one day! (I wouldn't mind if Tom Hanks joined him too, but that seems very unlikely.)

'Burbs day 2018! What do we do now soldier?
Thinking if we wanted to try the group watch maybe something like this site can facilitate.

I created the above just playing around. It would be tough getting all us neighbors together at the same time from our various time zones. Anyone have any other sites that are designed to get people together to watch the same video at the same time? Guess I'll have to get a cam and mic going, something I don't use too much these days as the paranoia is high about these components being enabled by someone or something. Yes, my tinfoil hat is on tight!

"The crows are too big for the bird feeder," she says.
Wonder if you could just straight up stream it on Twitch? Well, you could, no problem, but I'm thinking of legal issues?
"A soldiers way, saves the day. Entré."
