Burbs Day 2018

July 14th this year neighbours.
I've got an opportunity to head down to the lake but I think I'll use my 6 week teachers holiday to spy.
What's everyone else doing?
 
Change into my vacation togs
Smoke the occasional cigar...outside
Fix the Barbecue
Sip some orange juice while staring at my neighbor's house
Lay down in the garden to get some !@#$ sleep
Listen to the original soundtrack
And of course...watch the movie in the evening
 
Anyone going down to the deli to get a beef sandwich?

Or maybe my friends in Germany will get some cold beer in there. Or some knockwurst or something.....

 
I think I'm going to do something about my yard. It was replanted a couple of months ago but we got a big heatwave this summer. You know the ones where your underwear sweats and it crawls up the... anyway, it's hot, okay?
So, at this moment it kind of looks like The Klopeks front yard.

Also, I'll probably drink a couple hundred bears while I fix the BBQ

Cant wait. I've itching to watch all summer, but I've managed to resist the urge.

Think I'm gonna make a day of it.
 
Just got a grill/griddle so I'm planning on barbecuing(maybe ribs) and drinking a few beers. Probably make a full Burbs breakfast, too(minus the dog food).

May even now my lawn for the 800th time.

And of course watch the Burbs. Should be a good day.
 
I'll be watching The Burbs tonight, once it's dark! I could never let a Burbs Day pass without watching.

I would normally eat a big bag of pretzels while i watch, but I've got that thing with my stomach again...

God I love this forum! I miss it when I don't visit.
