It's coming closer, folks. Saturday 13 this year.
 
I won't likely be watching the 'Burbs this year, but I will be up at the cabin drinking a couple hundred beers and falling down some stairs.

I don't think mine will be as extravagant this year as I'm gonna be putting in a patio. I'll probably end the day with beer and the 'Burbs.

First post on this forum, although I have been celebrating Burbs day for years, first on imdb and when that community ended, sadly, alone. Glad to have found a new place with like minded people who understand the brilliance of the masterpiece that is the Burbs. :)

Did some shopping, so I'm all set. Pretzels, cookies, orange juice, !@#$ brownies. Later in the evening I'll call the pizza dude!

By the way, if anyone is interested in a Burbs commentary track, there's a good one on Oliver Harper's Youtube channel. He's doing this one together with Brad Watson, who is a director himself and a huge fan of the Burbs. Hilarious and informative. Good enough to be on a blu-ray if you ask me. There's a short introduction and then he tells you when to sync the audio with the movie.
 
Bachelor Kid! Welcome! Officially move in and announce yourself in the 'Welcome to Mayfield place' section when you get a chance. Otherwise we'll get suspicious.
