I haven't seen it yet but it does remind me of The Burb's a lot.
What do you guys think?

I heard all kinds of good things about this film on some movie podcasts.

The trailer definitely has a 'Burbs vibe. We'll see what it brings.

Yeah, I will also give it a try and feel the burbs vibe as well.

The movie poster also has this vibe:

Yeah, this movie is definitely on my rader.

Takes queues from a lot of 80's movies in my opinion. The plot sounds like the 'burbs or fright night and the cast of characters looks like Goonies, Stand by me and Stranger Things.

When is it out?

This is a low budget flick set in 84 about a group
of kids , one of them thinks his neighbour is a serial killer.
Very good movie, with tons of references to The 'Burbs, there is even a character named "Arthur Ray Peterson".

No spoiler of course but I suggest you to watch it.

I've watched it now. The first half of the movie was really good imo. The second half was not as good but overall a good movie with a lot of references to some iconic 80's movies.

I would call it a mix of:
Stand by me, The Burb's, Disturbia, Stranger things and Fright night...

It was just new to "Netflix" in Sweden, needless to say, it appealed to me immediately.

And now that I've seen it, I can def. say I instantly got the "Burbs" mixed with "The Goonies" vibes right away.

Even that cop, looked like Rick Ducommon (R.I.P friend!).

And actually, I came back to this forum today, because I had to suggest this movie, very pleasantly surprised to see it already suggested.

I'm very impressed with the attention to detail in the movie, even the technical stuff they got right. I am so annoyed by Hollywood directors and film makers, when they usually just toss in some "Broadcast" equipment and a couple of oscilloscopes to make some fancy time-machine, and think they can get away with that...

...but in this movie, albeit they don't use much of the above, got it right. Correct reference to walkie talkies, and how the smaller toy ones used the same Citizen band, but couldn't reach that far, and the bigger one the one kid used (commercial one) can, and the one the cop offers to sell the kid - could too, love when they get it right for once.

All the other props where spot on. The kids and parents and people behaved exactly like we would back then, spot on again!

The in-movie references where abundant and plentiful, you're gonna love it.

So yea - if you've not seen it yet, you're in for a treat and a trip down memory lane.
