I have fond memories of the 90s version of this movie. Some friends and I found a VHS rental store that would rent out horror movies to kids younger than 15 years. It felt so forbidden and underground but we loved it. One of the first movies we rented was Candyman. 11-12 years old we gathered together to watch this when our parents weren't around.
Fast forward 25 years and a remake of the movie is a reality. I don't have the highest expectations, but the nostalgic factor alone will make me watch it.
