Carol not reacting

Something I noticed yesterday and which seems strange that I've never noticed it before:

When Art is trying to shoot the crow, after destroying the owl, you can hear one more (quite loud) gunshot while the camera is showing Ray and Carol.

Despite the loud gunshot she doesn't seem to notice it, just staring at Ray who then says "Art's got a gun!". Then she's looking rather surprised out of the window.

Probably she's used to gunshots in the neighbourhood. :)

she's probably used to Art's hairbraind schemes.
 
Or Rumsfield shooting at windscreens...what with the smashing glass...
 
speaking of not reacting, when ray spills his coffie on his lap, rumsfeild completely ignores the whole incident.
