I noticed last night watching The Burbs that,Carol has like tree bottles of furniture polish.She must like to dust.Or she has it for all the packing dust floating in the air from The Klopects. :D
 
Yeah three is over the top wouldn't you say...a bit like her breakfasts...maybe Dante wanted her to be an exaggeration of a traditional housewife.

Total exaggeration.Between kids and work I sure wouldn't be dusting that much. :D

Especially in the scene at the beginning when Ray says "I think we should move" the whole shelf in the background seems to be crammed with detergents.

Well it's a big house and they don't seem to have a maid. I can imagine that Carol "only" has a part-time job in order to cope with all the house-cleaning.
 
so, are we saying the Petersons are slobs?
 
No the Petersons aren't slobs.Carol is just a neat freak.She probably cleans to calm her nerves,when Ray's out chasing after trash trucks. :D
 
So Carols, like, way over the top...how would she go on at the cabin up at the lake????
 
Maybe Ray's more relaxed at the cabin.So that's why Carol likes the cabin,up there she doesn't have to polish furniture to calm her nerves. :D
