Yea, I was nothing special. Our command wanted some enlisted pukes to go but the only catch was you had to wear civilian clothes and it had to be a suit. I had just gotten back a tailor made suit from the tailor I had made so I got to go.

Yeah, the thing that really p*sses me off is what constitutes a famous 'personality' or 'celebrity'. I think with footballers it is a contradiction in terms. They certainly don't have any personailty. And yet...'fans' love to meet them!?! Beyond me. David Beckham has the charisma and intellect of a small boiled potato.

As do most celebrities. My unfavorite right now is Britney Spears. What a nitwit. Yet somehow these types of people persist in the public arena for years. I just wish they would all go away.

Some of them might be right under your very nose...

Todays "idols" are all "made" idols. Someone else is throwing them into the ring and there they are.

Britney Spears... why should I respect a person like that? I'm sorry for her and her life (and especially her kids), that's all I feel.

I've been reading all of these; do sports figures count as celebs? Because I've never met a film or Tv person just sport...
