I love Christmas Movies. My collection of DVDs includes

The Polar Express
It's A Wonderful Life
Scrooge (1951 Alastair Sim)
A Christmas Carol (1984 George C Scott)
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Miracle On 34th Street (B&W and Colour)
Christmas With The Kranks
A Christmas Carol (2000 Ross Kemp)
A Christmas Carol (1938)
The Santa Clause
Jingle All The Way
A Christmas Carol (Kate Winslett 2001)
The Home Alones
The Snowman
Muppett's Christmas Carol
Black Christmas (gotta have a horror!)
A Christmas Carol (1999 Patrick Stewart)

I also have a range of other DVDs, including Blackadder's Christmas Carol, Flintstone's Christmas Carol (in fact lots of video versions of that title) and a really, really festive DVD entitled Jamie's Christmas where Jamie Oliver prepares the best Christmas lunch ever witnessed....man I'm starving.
I also have loads of DVDs with Christmas images and music....carols set to pictures like the Kinkade ones, and also cathedral choirs.

I've tried but I cannot get into Nightmare Before Christmas, Scrooged or A Christmas Story. Or Elf. Or the Grinch remake. Or Scrooge musical with Albert Finney.

but I'll probably buy them anyway...

I loooove Christmas films! I'm not ashamed to say that i adore Nightmare before Christmas!!!! I sing the songs around the house all the time! I just love Tim Burton though. I even rode about 2 hours with my friend and my sister to see the special 3-D version they released into theaters last year. So awesome.

I love all those, except for maybe Black Christmas...don't want to see that...I'd feel it would be taking the Christmas spirit away. I do love the first two Home alone movies...they made more, but they probably sucked eggs. I never ever want to see the new Grinch.I don't like Jim Carey for one thing, plus you just can't beat the awesome animated version. :)

I love The Shop Around the Corner. It's an old b&w and great. I love old movies. :)

You can add to that The Bishop's Wife

Regarding Black Christmas...Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without some HORROR! Or ghost story...I also just bought a Christmas ghost DVD "Christmas tails of ghostly trails" Cool!

Well it's not directly a christmas movie but it's on TV every christmas and I watch it every time, so it's already kind of a tradition:

DIE HARD (1988)

OMG yes a nightmare before christmas, they show it a lot on the 23rd of december in norway (we celebrate on the 24th ya know..)

also.. the home alones - 1 and 2. the third sucks.
<3 my fave moment in the seond one is when he slips on the ice and is caught by the two crooks.. it's just so.. unexpected. :D

EDWARD SCISSORHANDS. suuuuch a lovely movie to watch around christmas.

BAD SANTA. it's a funny movie.. lol

Tri orísky pro Popelku:
CLICK ME
It's from Czechoslovakia and I think over two thirds of the norweigan population watches it on the 24th, around noon. (Three wishes for cinderella) - the norweigan version has a narrator that explains what they say - he does they're voices (dubs).. and it's so silly (and good), but we watch it anyway.

90. Geburtstag oder Dinner for One, Der
another CLICK ME

another film we watch in Norway, on the 23rd. it's a classic and they show these two movies EVERY year. <333333
We've named it "the butler and the countess", though. LOL.

Nightmare before Christmas is great and Danny Elfman's score is fantastic, although I always watch it at Halloween. Its a Wonderful Life, Polar Express (fantastic animation) and I thought I was the only person in the world who liked the Snowman.
