Has anybody seen this? I haven't because it will be released here in Germany in September 2007. But the plot outline looks promising.

quote:

After his father's death, Kale Brecht becomes sullen, withdrawn, and troubled -- so much so that he finds himself under a court-ordered sentence of house arrest after a run in with the law. His mother, Julie, works night and day to support herself and her son, only to be met with indifference and lethargy. The walls of his house begin to close in on Kale. He becomes a voyeur as his interests turn outside the windows of his suburban home towards those of his neighbors, one of which Kale begins to suspect is a serial killer. But, are his suspicions merely the product of cabin fever and his overactive imagination?

Sounds a little "Burbish" to me.

Can someone recommend it?

Not seen it Ray, but wouldn't mind...

Have you seen REAR WINDOW? Great film.

Isn't it kind of a rip off of Rear Window? My brother saw it, but I didn't have much desire to.

I just watched Disturbia today and was struck by the similarities to the Burbs. It is all in all a good movie. I would recommend it. At one point the male lead asks the female something about her parents dragging her out to the Burbs. And check out the lights. There seems to be a lot of blue/green lights in the film.

I liked Disturbia, too, although in my opinion it was too much "teen movie" and not enough thrill.

The protagonists were somewhat young, but man the last few minutes were pretty darn intense. I don't want to say more in case some of you want to check it out and, yes, da daaah daaaaahhhh (did I spell that right?) green lights. Art, I think you would like it.
