Does Art have children?

Have you ever noticed the tire – swing which hangs from the tree in Art’s garden? You can see it in the scene when he goes over to Ray’s house while Ray and Carol are watching Jeopardy. You can also see it in the scene when he runs out of the house to talk to the garbage men.

The swing definitely does not hang in Ray’s garden, so the question is: why does Art has this swing in his garden? Although his child is never mentioned in the movie, do you believe that Art and Suzette are parents ore are there further hints in the movie?

I have watched that movie at least 50 times and I have never noticed that - good catch. Interesting - I guess another viewing is in order. Can you imagine how that kid would turn out?

hmm it could be Art's. My dad made a swing from a tree here and he's in it more often than me. not that i dont like it, it's just that.. i tend to forget we have it.. LOL.

it could be that Suzette forced him to put it up so that her sisters kid can play when they visit. (if she has a sister that is) lol. aaaanway.. i've never pictured that they have kids. LOL.

Or the other theory that it was Art's as a kid and he inherited the house when his parents passed away.........
