I'm not overly fond of comedians as a rule so it's not hard to narrow it down.... I think Jeff Dunham is hilarious, especially when he started out 20 odd years ago. You can't beat Peanut and Jose Jalapeño.....on a steeeeeck!

Hm, I only know German comedians. And quite frankly: the new ones suck.

There are some classic comedians which are not active anymore like "Loriot". He was good. One of the few exemptions.
