The last couple of weeks have been really hard on the American midwest and the Mississippi River Valley. Evidently floods of record have resulted in Iowa from, in some cases, 500-year storm events. Hopefully, Hinkley Hills or at least Mayfield Place was spared and the Klopeks' basement remains unflooded.

See, it's on the internet so it has to be true.

The term, God's Country, I guess may be unique to the US and generally denotes any unspoiled area that would seem to the user of the term to be idyllic in nature.

"is this heaven?"
"No, it's Iowa"
