Fun burbs facts

Regarding his first bullet, how many protagonists are killed at the end of their movies? Only one coming to mind for me right now, because I watched it recently, is 'To Live and Die in L.A.'

Hollywood knows story telling and killing off your protagonist is rarely good movie making. So this one seems like a no brainer that they fixed it.

Second thought. I'd love some artwork/t-shirts of the Tow truck towing away the police cruiser with the steeple needle impaled in its hood. I'd buy that for a dollar.

Yeah, the only movies I can think of that feature protagonists dying are really dark ones, like Sin City (which I love, but taking into account tone, etc. I don't think that end would have been right for The 'Burbs). I think I read somewhere (it may have been in this article, but I'm not sure) that they had shot an ending where the Klopeks were innocent, but it bummed test audiences out too much. I could see that being a decent ending, and I'm sure if The 'Burbs had been made today, they would have ultimately chosen that one. I think audiences today are all right with a little bit of sadness with their comedy.

It was a fanfic, in all the alternate endings the Klopeks are the bad guys.
