Hanks like/dislike The Burbs?

I've heard that Tom doesn't talk about this movie or possibly to the fact he doesn't recognize it? Anyone know if this is true?

I saw an interview on Biography Channel and the guy named a number of high profile films (Ryan, Castaway, Philly, Gump etc...) then gave a list of not-so-high profile films - amongst which was Burbs...Tom's only quote, I recall, was "...and...and all good experience"

I've even heard that he dislikes the movie although I was never able to find a quote which proves this.

I've only heard this through the grapevine. I truley hope it's not true.

And i might have read this on the imdb - page a long long time ago. Not the most reliable source.

I really hope he does like the film. I think he should be proud of the cult following the movie has generated! I don't think there would be many of his other movies that have message boards! I'm sure he'd love us, too...

I wonder if guys like Olsen, Dante, Hanks & Co. realize what a solid fanbase this movie has. Do they read message boards? Do they know that we even call ourselves "Burbanites", "Burbanians" or whatever? Do they know that some of us used to watch this movie three times a week? Do they know there is an inofficial "Burbs Day"?
