Hi there

Greetings from France, well The 'Burbs is pretty much an unknown movie over here, it was not released in theatre but there is a dvd.You just don't find fans easily, especially hardcore fans.

I'm fond of the movie since a very long time and i know i'll never get bored by it, i think this immortal replay value is what makes the best movies. Not only you can watch the movie many times but each time you spot something new, details.

Glad to see fans of this masterpiece.

Welcome to Hinkley Hills, we just love it here.

You should invite your friends to watch the movie, who knows - maybe they'll invite you over for some pretzels & sardines? ;)

I think I'll go for a beef sandwich...

Welcome to the neighbourhood!

You might notice a weird smell in the street from time to time, a bit like someone's cooking a cat. Just ignore it. It'll be the weird people in number 669.

I've never seen that.
Hi Fred and welcome to the neighbourhood. I occasionally watch my Burbs DVDS in French (had French in school for a couple of years) but I forgot a lot in the meantime.

Walter, I have your dog.
Hey, Fred, it's not Skip. It's Dave. I'm just pretending to be Skip. Say, you didn't happen to see an ice pick around here, did you?

Welcome to the neighbourhood :)

Most of the time i watch american movies in american, but the french dubbing of the Burbs is magnificent.

So i can watch it in both languages.

Noticed that the Klopek's dog is called Landru, wich is the last name of a french serial killer

...and here in Germany they simply named the dog "Killer". So you don't even get the Landru reference if you are watching the German version. Bummer!

Walter, I have your dog.
Killer ? I didn't know that thanks. You keep a horse in the basement?
