Hey all - so great to see so much activity surrounding The Burbs! Who is still around for the original board way back when? For whatever reason, I didn't know things were still so active here. There are so many topics I need to go through. I'll probably start responding to all kinds of old posts that have been dead for a while.
If anyone remembers me, I made a Burbs site long long ago at GeoCities and I'm hoping to make a new one as I find time. It's great to be back!

Hi there, I'm your neighbour Ray Peterson. My wife and my son are gone to the dank wet cabin in order to watch the neighbour with his enormous head falling down the stairs. So they're not here. I'm also not from the old board since I'm a Burbanite since only 2003/2004.
By the way I'm the guy who wrote you the two e-Mails.

Much catching up to do then. I'm a veteran from back then. I started on the Burbs sites waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back....must've been ooooh mid-90s. Went on every night without fail.
Do you remember the John Osbourne/John Klyza site? Cat from Australia? The discussion board? I was always on that. And as I was studying, often stayed up till 3am BST/7pm US time for the chatroom!
Anyway, that Burbs discussion board eventually stopped about er...1999/2000
Afterwards John Osbourne started another site but we lost everyone except for 3 of us (there were three of 'em) That was myself, Art (Chris from England) SFA Dan, (Dan from Texas) and Stranger Next Door (Peggy from Belgium). In essence, we three alone kept that board going for about a whole year. Amazing really, but we still made hundreds of posts.
Eventually, after advertising the site on IMDB etc...more people came. One of them was Bonnie (that's Hayley, this site's Burbsmistress). That site eventually closed again and she and I chatted about her starting her own site up. Which she did. And so here..we...are...
So er...what happened to you? You didn't even say goodbye when you left...and I didn't see a moving van out front.
Hey there Mayfield! Welcome to the neighborhood. I'm going to be upfront and apologize that I don't come here as regularly as I used to. I'm currently searching for work, where I just moved a couple of months ago, and I'm about to start school. So, I'm a busy miss lizzy.

I wasn't on the old board either. I've been here a few months less than Kennyman, my husband. But we just love it here and I'm gonna make sure no matter how busy I get.I'll always check back on the board. We are like a family.
