I took a week off

So, I took a week off as work has been real busy and I needed a break. I'm not drinking a couple hundred beers and fixing the BBQ in the back yard because 1) I'm home alone with my kids and b) it's cold and rainy outside :(

I'm passing the time playing videogames, baking, drawing, watching movies with the kids. Good times :)

It seems like people on here disappeared? Or are you guys too busy watching the new Blu-Ray?
 
Well, you haven't been a member for so long yet, Dave...but you'll learn that this forum is active for years, but from time to time people just don't have anything to say. After all...it's a fan-forum for a movie, and that doesn't always inspire daily posting and musing as if it was a site for many different films would. ;)

But most members are still around AFAIK. I check it almost daily but I don't always have stuff to say.

Replying to members posts usually trigger some responses, and then you'll find that the forum is FAR from dead.

Btw: Yeah, fun with the kids. I'm a substitute teacher so I get my weekly dose of kids from time to time, and we talk about videogames a lot. I used to play Counterstrike Source and Team Fortress 2 with a lot of them, until I got tired of certain kids that has to use bots & cheats to win :/ then we started our own Old-School gamers league with a minimum of 25yo age restriction, I believe our oldest member was over 50 at the time, he's probably 60+ now. :D

Affirmative, I'm also still here and will never stop checking the site regularly as long as I'm able to. It's been a while which is due to some busy days at work but here we go again.

Dave, hope you enjoyed your week off.
 
I check the site almost daily. Especially during the summer. We're still here, Dave, just not breaking into our neighbors houses while they're gone for the day.

Have a great vacation. Don't just pal around the house all day.
 
I also check in at least once a day. It feels good somehow that I know this place is here...

And I think this place has just about the perfect amount of members and activity. If there were 2,000 regular posters it just wouldn't be right. This place somehow has the same mood as Mayfield Place...
