Last weekend hurricane Ike hit Texas and locations around Houston.

Isn't Mayfield669 from that area? And why the hell hasn't he posted in the last few days?

Mayfield, anybody home?

Mayfield, are you o.k. down there? We are all hopeing you were spared from any harm. When that basterd ike came through ohio,it was still strong enough to knock over trees,I shutter to think how bad texas got it.

"hit me again Ike and this time put some stank on it"

I pray all is well Mayfield669.

Still no posts from him.

I'm starting to worry right now.

Dan works away a lot. He'll probably sign in tonight or tomorrow. I'm sure he's fine.

Ike was so furious Tina Turner took cover in a women's shelter, just to be safe....

I hope so.

Sorry guys, I am OK. We were without power for a while, but we weren't hit as hard as most. One of my neighbors had a the siding ripped off the attic of his house, first on the wind side and then on lee side as the wind began blowing through. That let the water in and his upstairs ceiling and walls collapsed when the sheetrock got wet. I just had a few downed fence sections. I had a generator and was able to keep my food and a couple of the neighbor's food cold enough so that it didn't ruin. As you can imagine, the other facets of life have been keeping me busy. Work has been almost impossible due to power outages around my office, the servers being down and the sketchiness of phone and cell phone service. Gas has been short as well, but the poor souls in Galveston and on the Bolivar Peninsula have been really hard hit. I was lucky. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts.

It's good to hear you are doing well Mayfield669.Take Care.
