Anyone planning on seeing this movie soon? When I saw the title, I immediately thought about the Burbs. Of course I added the last part. There was a program on the Sci-Fi channel the other day about crystal skulls and their supposed magic powers. I thought they should have interviewed Art Weingartner.

Yes, I'm planning to see it soon and I can tell you: I am extremely looking forward to it! :D

Interview the second Garbie! Harrison Ford and the laying on of hands...and whips.

Can't wait to see it. And just how cool does he still look!

I will see it. A friend saw it already and said it's very good.

I just got back from the 11 AM showing. It is good. I won't say much about the plot but the bad guys this time are those dang Commies. Very Indiana Jonesish - what else?. A lot of action. Not as good as the first, way better than the second and better than the third.

I don't think you will be disappointed.

I hadn't heard any either and with Speilberg and Lucas figured it had to be good.

One of my friends called me and said it was terrible (he's a great Indy fan). He was disappointed and told me the example of a monkey scene.

And the story ( I won't tell too much but you know...Roswell, Area 51) seems ludicrous, too considering the fact that it took them 18 years of searching for the perfect script.

He also told me about some bad CGI.

I'm going to watch it soon but I guess I have to scale down my expectations a little.

The monkey scene was weak, well at least the Tarzan take off was and the graphics were poor. It was the weakest part of the film, but you can't cut it from the movie because it is (albeit very contrived) the only way for that character to end up where he did. They should have thought a little more on that one. I don't want to say much more.

I would still recommend it, though.

Like with the next batch of Star Wars movies after the first three, there was a lot of expectation. Perhaps too much? Nothing can ever live up to the standards of what you expect to see.

So I'm not going to build up any expectation. I'm just going to watch a good action movie. The Guardian newspaper here slated it, but the Daily Express says it is great. Ahh critics...what's the point...Anyway, a movie? That's not real! This is real...this is our burbs board neibourhood!
