Movies or episodes that actually made you cry

OK, I'm not sure if we had this thread already but I think it's a new one.

So was there ever a movie or an episode of a series which actually made you cry?

In my case, it happened only twice in my life so far.

The first event was in 1999 and as "nerdy" as it may sound, it was after watching the final episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. There's the final moment when Jake Sisko and Kira Nerys look out of one of the bullseyes of the station and the camera starts zooming away until the space station is just a small point in space. In that moment I realized that one of my favorite TV shows of all time was over and there would never be new episodes with those characters. So for some reason that made me so sad that I started sobbing.

Second event was while watching "Marley & Me". When Marley got older and his stomach was twisting, that was heartbreaking. And when Owen Wilson finally took the dog to the vet...SAD SAD!

Almost every episode of Friday Night Lights. I'm not the one to get teary eyed but this series does that to me.

It's something about when people reach out to those in need even though they didn't ask for it.

God, I've got lots. I'm emotionally unstable...

The final episode of The Wonder Years: The Wonder Years in my childhood was kind of like what The Burbs is in my adulthood - this thing I turn to when I need a lift. The final episode of The Wonder Years got me simply because it was the final one and I was sad it would never be on anymore. On top of that, the whole ending where you find out what happened to everyone in the future ripped me to shreds!

Forrest Gump: I like the film, but it's not one of my all time favourites or anything. But it still gets me. Forrest loses someone special to him again and again and again, and it gets worse every time. And the ending with his little boy going off to school on his first day doesn't help!

E.T: No explanation needed.

Magnolia: It touched a lot of raw nerves. The whole thing is a weird building up of emotions and when the whole cast start singing Wise Up that's it, I'm gone. One of the best uses of music I've come across in a film.

E.R. episode, Love's Labour Lost: Probably the most intense episode of TV I've ever seen. And heartbreaking.

There are probably many more. Like I said, I'm an anxious, nervous, unstable wreck :) But I'd better stop now while you're still awake.

Just thought of another one after browsing Netflix yesterday, Saving Private Ryan.

16 year old spoiler alert...

In the end when it makes the transition to present time and you see teary eyed Mr. Ryan clamoring to his wife wanting confirmation that he lived a good life, knowing that 5 soldier gave up theirs for his. Oh my gawd, just thinking about it give me a lump in the throat.

* E.T. - no doubt.

* Lion King (Animated Disney cartoon).

* Brödrarna Lejonhjärta (the brothers lionheart).

* Punky Brewster (tv series).

Hm...I'm actually very emotional...

There are probably 100s of movies I've forgotten right now, but I do know that I'm quite sensitive to "fantastic music", you know - Epic concerts and strong feelings.

Bully - It's a documentary, so I don't know if that counts, but it's really heartbreaking.

Freaks & Geeks had my eyes watering at some points.

Lord of the Rings - Gandalf's' death(even though I knew it was coming), Boromir's death(even though I knew it was coming) and the ending of Return of the King.

Roseanne - Yes I like Roseanne! There were a few episodes that had me in tears.

The Buffy episodes "The Gift" and "The Body" (not to mention every series finale of every Joss Whedon show), the Once Upon a Time episode "Skin Deep" (don't you dare judge me), and Angel's funeral in Rent (every single time)...

There are plenty of others...Supernatural has gotten me a few times, and I'm sure the second I post this, I'll think of a really good example I should have included, but those were the first to come to mind.

Ohgod, I forgot the flashback sequence in Warm Bodies when R first sees Perry's past...I cry like a baby every time. That song really sells it...
