I recently saw a movie that had such a disturbing effect on me that it kept haunting my mind for days. In fact, it still does. All in all, there are only a few movies that have really managed to have this lasting creeped out effect on me. So I wanted to share a small list of “my” movies with you here and ask if you know any of them and which movies had such an effect on you. I'm writing them in the order in which I saw them:

1.) Intruders (seen approximately in 1993)

A movie about alien abduction that focuses a lot on the “Little Greys”. As I was 11 years old at the time and believed in the abduction phenomenon, weeks of nightmares were the result.

2) Jacob's Ladder (seen approximately in 2010)

With Tim Robbins. Very unique in its style. Some of the scenes inspired the makers of the video game “Silent Hill”. The scary scenes are very sparingly dosed, but when they come, they always gave me real goosebumps.

3) Goodnight Mommy (original movie from 2014, also known as “Ich seh, ich seh”; not the US remake; seen approximately in 2021)

Two twin brothers move into a new home with their mother, who is undergoing facial plastic surgery. But underneath the woman's bandages is someone the children don't recognize, so they doubt it's their real mother who has come home. The movie really gets a lot of discomfort out of its limited budget. It builds up slowly, but you have this uneasy feeling the whole time.

4.) Speak no evil (the Danish original from 2022; US remake is coming; seen about a week ago)

That's the real reason why I opened this thread. Difficult to write too much here without giving away too many spoilers, but check out the trailer if you're interested. But be warned: the movie will DEFINITELY leave you with a bad feeling, I guarantee.
