Ahhhh now I agree, Moulin Rouge is cool...but my wife and I were addicted to that, in like...2003... so it's quite in the past for us, though still great! Personally, musicals...I like: The War Of The Worlds, Sound Of Music. Calamity Jane, My Fair Lady, Tommy, West Side Story, The Phantom Of The Opera.
I haven't seen any of those. My friends keep beating me until I watch Phantom of the Opera, though I do know the music of it. We play it in marching band before every football game.
I purchased the WAR OF THE WORLDS DVD (Jeff Wayne's stage production). Literally 4 hours later I'd booked tickets to go and see the show at a local arena. Ive never seen anything like it in my life. Fantastic.
Ah ha! You're hooked aren't you? I love, yet also hate movies like that (such as The 'Burbs). You absolutely love them, an almost unhealthy obsession and you hate it because you almost have a dependency upon them.
OMG! How could I forget Grease? I love that movie.
Hooked, yep! The light show (lasers etc) CGI film made specially for the huge rear screen, 30 piece orchestra and original artists who made the album...all A1. Fab.
I've never seen Grease. Or Dirty Dancing. Or Ghost. Or and Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings...
i have the movie-version of phantom of the opera - with gerard butler. seriously, ppl say it sucks but ffs i dont care! LOL i loooove it <3 the music is fantastic!
oh and i have another version of phantom of the opera - i think it's this italian low budget movie. ...worst piece of trash ever. no joking.
I'd love to see A nightmare before christmas as a musical though, with real people.
AND i hear they're gonna make Edward Scissorhands as a musical.
