In this thread you're welcome to write a "blog" whenever you feel the "Burbs" in your neighborhood creep up on you.
Green sky tonight...
...I feel my neighbors taking flight.
It's sweltering outside, the temperatures out here right now are crazy, our neighboring towns are getting all the rain, we're just drying out here. Their basements flooded too, I read it in the news: Suburbian Flooding
The air is filled with Mosquitoes and Horseflies, I've popped a few of them myself. The neighbor dogs are annoyingly close to my lawn, and I have to keep an eye on my neighbors all the time.
The sweltering hot weather makes my street buzz with life, the kids are out playing in the streets, and the adults of this little cu-DE-sack of ours are drinking beer and chatting it out all night. The insects are unusually large this year, I've seen a few invasive species too...all too colorful for this area I tell you, I like it though...the question is...will our local fauna like it as much as I do? And what if they sting...
I've been trying to hold back on the beer, so I'm sitting on my porch guzzling energy drinks instead while watching the neighborhood - Good I love this street!
Yesterday I climbed one of my large trees just to put up some wire there, I've just fixed my world-receiver radio (a very sophisticated radio, I can race all the official channels on it, but it has no siren mode!). I bet my 80 y/o neighbor got curious when he saw someone that kind of looks like ART climb that old tree (yes, I'm not lightweight) so high, and I wore something white too...wasn't my intention, but hey...I wasn't thinking straight...should have worn something black.
I've fixed the balcony too, great view of the entire neighborhood from there, and I've got a couple of trees that reaches all the way over the house so they can't even spot me on the balcony either, hee hee...
...maybe I should invite a few over, it's going to be live tonight, I can feel it. Too bad we ain't got a pizzadude in our little town...well...no one that brings anything out anyway.
