I'm a huge fan of this movie, and have been since the first time I saw it so many years ago. It just keeps getting better and better.

Over the years it's especially become a Halloween ritual for me-- my kids are too old to trick or treat, I live (not on a cul-de-sac unfortunately) on a block with public buildings on two sides, dark little houses next door and few kids show up. Plus, there are always three or four channels showing horror movies on Halloween like Ray sees when he's switching channels after the basement meeting with Art and before the nightmare sequence-- all part of my most favorite part of my most favorite movies.

As a newbie, I'll be making my way through older posts. So I'll figure things out eventually. But last night for the first time we did some things we haven't done before. I made pancakes, bacon, sausage (and eggs) for supper. I'd made ribs over the weekend (in home tailgating), and baked brownies/cookies. I'd even looked up how to make a lemon phosphate but was disappointed to find out phosphoric acid is not easy to come by so I used citric acid. Of course, the pizza dude was also called exactly on time.

I realize I'm ripping off the whole Rocky Horror thing pretty badly, but we had a blast.

Oh, I also bought a variety of colored light bulbs recently and so this time I put green ones in the bathroom and shut off all the other lights but the TV. Besides noticing a few new things about the movie like I always do (including, unfortunately, a couple more plot inconsistencies/difficulties but who cares?), I had the most fun watch party ever. Green light will make you sick, eventually though, literally. Believe me.

So anyway, if these kinds of things are already being done and/or discussed elsewhere I'd appreciate a point in the right direction.

Hi and welcome to the neighborhood, I hope you'll enjoy your stay. This place is filled of great stuff, and as a life long 'Burbs fan I come across new things from time to time.

My suggestion is to sneak around on your own and if you have any questions or feel like discussing something then just start a thread about it. Even if we've done it before it's always nice to get a new perspective on things.

Once again, welcome to Mayfield Place, I'm your neighbor (A well respected pathologist, and you're damn lucky you didn't upset me with your first post) :P

Welcome :)

Also a nice welcome from Mr. Peterson. Have fun aboard!
