Coincidentally I discovered a band on youtube I've never heard of before. They simply call themselves "FM". This is some really addicting stuff in my opinion. As I've learned, this music style is called "AOR / melodic rock" and I will search for more of that kind.

Here's a clip of "FM" live in concert. In my opinion they sound immaculate. The singer has a wonderful, powerful voice, the backing vocals sound flawless, the guitar solos are great as well. Seems to be an U.K. band.

Thunder is a wonderful band (also from the UK, right?)

I bought a DVD named "Flawed to perfection" long time ago and also uploaded some vids on youtube ("Dirty Love" and "She's so fine").

I also have a couple of albums from them. "Laughing on judgement day" is the one which I like best.

Yes, you're right, Thunder absolutely rules.

Cool, they sound like a mixture of Def Leppard, Poison and Heart from the 80s.

There were so many of those types of rock bands in the 80s...big hair...and the music engineered and produced to a massively high standard!
 
Weren't these band even called "Hair bands" respectively the music style "Hair Rock"?

I believe I've heard the term "Hair Rock" once in connection with Twisted Sister.
