There are so many One Hit Wonders (I hope you call them like this in your countries as well) out there, so let's a make a thread about them.

The first one I will bring you also belongs in the "ultimately cheesy / 80's / by todays standard's ridiculous" - category. Ah, I love it.

It's also interesting to see the young Travolta in it.

I love One-Hit Wonders!

Hey, it's Sylvester Stallone's brother!

Here's some of my favorites
Who cares if he looks like a vampire.

I've loved it since I was little. I used to cry when the horse was in the swamp..:(

Great links. Very often you almost know a One Hit Wonder by heart without knowing the artist or even the title.

Be glad you never heard me singing "Neverending story" on SingStar 80's :D

That's Stallone's bother? Wow, I think he's really good. Unfortuntely this seems to be his only hit. Well and since Sly directed Staying Alive there might have been some patronage.

Here's another great One Hit Wonder and one of the songs you occasionally have in your ear without knowing the artist:

Hey Heartache Avenue was cool. I remember at school in '84 this kid used to play it all the time. I always thought it was a real old kinda 50s/60s thing. But nooo

T'Pau China In Your Hand. Cool. And they're other hit Heart and Soul. So...not one hit wonders.

Neverending story was by Limahl - from Kajagoogoo...remember Too Shy (hush hush) Only For Love and Big Apple?
Cool bass player - and again, not a one hit wonder as such.

The Vapours Turning Japanese we used to play that in our band back in 1987. Cool song.

Hush Hush, eye to eye... That was Limahl, too? Didn't know that.

There are also some instrumental One Hit Wonders, like Mezzofortes "Garden Party".

Wait until 00:38 and you'll say "Yeah, I know this song!"

Well, I guess it was a one-hit wonder in the US...because sadly, a lot of Americans have rotten taste. Not me! I think I have great taste.

I mean, I don't know many of my age range that like music beyond well the 2000's...hahahaha

Thats a shame...cos music pre-2000 was much better than the crap we get nowadays. A very few exceptions...but in the main.

Ray. Instrumental one-offs MY SHARONA

OK, I'll just throw in another One Hit Wonder.

A very underrated one.

Tell me what you want, in the past 10-15 years music changed. Probably because the taste of the audience changed. In my opinion it became worse.
