PHOBIAS

Wow, that reminds me...I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember (there were still quite a few around when I was a child...especially in...*shudders* apartments) but the old-style refrigerators with the latching handle that you had to pull down to open the door. Those old things would always be sitting around somewhere unused and we were always warned not to play in them because once you shut the door you couldn't open them from the inside. I tried to stay as far away from those things as I could...lol

Anybody ever seen the movie, It, based on the book by Stephen King? Tim Curry is great as Pennywise and if that doesn't give you a clown phobia, nothing will. Not too many phobias, very small places, perhaps - I could never be one of those people who explore caves - speleologists?

hey art, wasnt that on a t shirt, the phrase "cant go to sleep, clowns will eat me?" lmfao.

anyway, i dont like clowns, but i cant say it's a phobia.

i'm claustrophobic though.. and i know why.
when i was i little girl, my sis and i used to play with our blankets and stuff (specially around the times when we shared rooms) and more than once, she used to like put the blanket over me and hold it so i couldn't get out. other times, we would crawl inside the sheet on the blanket, and she'd like hold the opening so i couldn't get out. urh i always went crazy the minute i knew i was stuck, and ever since, i've been slightly claustrophobic. it's not so much in spaces were i am standing in like a small room or something.. but mostly like if she holds me really tight and doesnt let go. I go mental, it's scary cause i go nuts! Also, like you know when people crawl trough caves and stuff? yeah i could never do that. not so much because it's just an enclosed space, but because you have to crawl around on your elbows or just walk all squatted down or somehthing. i think i could have done it if i could walk upright, lol.. strange isn't it?

i've never been afraid of heights. i often dream that i am high up in the air, and it's supercool.. even though it's scary. I dont like the idea of being high up in the air with nothing to hold on to. Like, if the railing on a bridge is way to low, or like on the top of a big building.. and the roof isn't fenced.. that seems wayy to scary for me, but other than that.. heights are cool to me! xD

Years ago, I heard about a little girl who had gotten trapped in one...and..I don't think she made it. :(
