Poll Results: Best Joe Dante movies

yeah...for a relatively unknown movie, that is a HUGE feat!

Btw...something I've been pondering, I wonder why I watch the Burbs and Explorers so much...?

...they have something in common (yes, this is getting psychological)

I know...it's directed by Joe Dante, but he didn't even come to mind as I seldom think about the directors themselves, I just enjoy the movies.

But there must be something special that draws me towards these movies, and is it a coincidence that he directed them both?

Hm. Are there any similarities between the Burbs and Explorers? Any link which might explain why you like 'em both but which still features some Dant-ish trademark?

I know that I have seen Explorers quite a lot when I was a child but I guess I haven't seen it for about 20 years now. Maybe I should re-watch it.
 
I went to a little, but famous town in USA and got it...

...the movie, that is... ebay just sells nicely copied copies, I got a Widescreen original, limited edition from a HUGE video store in that "special little" but known to Hollywood...famous city that I won't mention...

I might even move there one day...

...that is...if I get the GreenCard
