Rick Ducommun Interview feb 89

Did Arsenio Hall pronounce his name correctly? I always thought it was Ducommun as like DUCK-omen.
He pronounced it like DUKE-ommun.

It's a french name , it should be Dew-com-hein, not easy to pronounce for english speaking people. Commun means common, but he's Canadian from the english speaking part of the country so I guess he doesn't care much.
Arsenio said it pretty well.

Excellent! I never saw this. I love me some Rick Ducommun

Wait a second, did he say that he weighed 425 pounds? :omg:

Yeah, I remember he had to lose weight to get the role of Art.Looked good in Gremlins 2 also, but he got the weight back later, like in Last Action Hero or Groundhog Day.

Too bad, that's some serious weight to be carrying around. I always felt that calling him "the fat" guy was a little of a stretch. Sure he was a big dude and all but with today's standards that would be considered a "dad bod".

What was his stats when he did the Burbs? 6'2 around 220-230-ish perhaps?

Yeah, that's most likely the case. And for a 188 cm man 100 kg isn't that crazy.
