On August 6th, John Hughes passed away at the age of 59. He was writer and / or director of hilarious movie gems like
- Vacation / European Vacation / Christmas Vacation - Breakfast Club - Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Planes, Trains and Automobiles - Uncle Buck - Home Alone / Home Alone 2 - Beethoven
All his movies were good. I was still hoping for another Vacation. They could do another Vacation in Johns honer, make Chevy Chase the bumbling grampa this time...haha
That was good humor back then. What do we have today? All these Epic Movies, Meet the Spartans and whatever...they're just not funny. I'm even fed up with the Scary Movie series now.
The Breakfast Club Home Alone Ferris Bueller's Day Off The Great Outdoors The Vacation Movies (esp Christmas) 16 Candles Weird Science Pretty In Pink Plains, Trains and Automobiles Some Kind Of Wonderful Uncle Buck Miracle On 34th Street remake
The end of an era. I can't believe he's gone. Those movies mean so much to me.
