A result of the progressing climate change?

I read an article today that the push for ethanol to decrease our reliance on oil is an environmental disaster. The corn and other grains that could feed people is being used to produce fuel and the Amazon rainforest and other natural communities are being destroyed at an even faster rate now to provide more corn/grain which makes the environmental cost even higher.

Ethanol is a joke. It is possible, but it takes so much corn to make it happen, it economically doesn't work.

You are right. It is indeed possible, but when you look at the total cost, it saves nothing.

The papers here, because we've had snow in April, have suddenly launched a counter attack on the environmental lobby. Basically saying "so....snow....hmmm...I thought you guys were saying it's going to get warmer" Talk about short sighted and not being aware of all the issues.
