I apologize in advance if this has already been spoken of, but I can't remember seeing anything about it on the board - I always chuckle at Rummy's fascination with Werner's painting, ESPECIALLY when he tries to keep looking at it after Klopek turns it over the 'right' way. He's looking so intently for something suspicious within it. It just looks like a medical operation or something to me...

Is he right though? Does anyone notice anything strange about the picture?
 
I see somthing strange in the picture, but let's face it, these Klopeks are STRANGE.
 
I think the painting looks like something that would hang in The Mutter Museum in Philadelpia,Pennsylvania. :D
 
I always thought Rummy was fascinated by the painting just because he couldn't figure out what the hell it was. Thats why he turned it over.

The first times I was watching "The Burbs" I couldn't figure out what it was as well. Then, one day I realized that it was a bloody surgery.

I think so. It's a bloody mess in a surgery so I always believed it reveals his psychotic mind. Combined with his sentence "Painting relaxes me" this is another very funny element.
 
Yeah it probably would be "relaxing" for Werner to paint some grusome scenes..
I can imagine the other scenes hes painted. I'll bet Jason(friday the 13th) is his hero..
