Alright, it's time to reveal those corny, dumb songs you just can't not like..but you pretend to hate them, so people won't think you're a nerd. I know we've all got 'em!
Ok one of mine would be If You Leave Me Now by Chicago.(Which I found out recently had been my parent's song.) :|
Another would have to be Sweet Home Alabama by lynerd skynerd. I like the guitar okay! Gosh...
Those are actually two great songs. Usually I always tell others my favorite music without being afraid of others perceiving me as a nerd. What's wrong about Chicago? Afterwards Peter Cetera had a few nice solo songs as well (Glory of Love). And Lynyrd Skynyrd rules anyhow.
If they perceive me as a nerd I used to believe they simply don't know anything about great music. And when I get answers like "Pffffff, Chicago sucks. I like listening to '50 Cent'" we've had enough of words.
The only thing which is actually quite embarassing is that I like this one:
Ok, well imagine you're 18..now..I'm not saying I care what people think, but when you're 18 and under, and you like Chicago, you're considered pretty lame.
But my friend at work always sings with me, so it great. I mean, everyone cares a LITTLE bit of what people think. I don't care who you are. It's natural to want to be accepted in some form or another.
I love me some Rick Astley! hahaa have y'all seen him lately?? HE looks EXACTLY the same!!

There is not doubt about it. I just don't find this "worrying" applicable to me considering nullities like music taste / film taste and so on.
Well...I don't care what anyone thinks of my tastes. If you've got the confidence it don't matter. I like the Carpenters. Glen Campbell. But then I like Led Zepplin, Rush, Police, Red Hot Chillies, Beastie Boys, some Eminem, Kate Bush....you know, it really doesn't matter what music you like: what matters is you like and appreciate music.

I don't know that Glenn Campbell song, but he produced some pretty good ones. I like the Moody Blues (a lot of people don't)but my favorite has always been Zep.
