The Climb

Ray Peterson comes up with an interesting point. I have that DVD and a whole lot more.

Yeah, there's a growing MASSIVE tide of people here who have seen their civil liberties systematically destroyed by Blair's government. Some rights that we've had for centuries. I have a superb DVD citing all the rights we've lost. (Um...hasn't the Patriot Act done similar?) anyway, here we have lost maaaaaaaaany rights. All under the subterfuge of 'terrorism'.

Ray is right. From getting off the train in London, every single step you take is being watched and recorded.

Just check out this old guy (labour party member all his life. Spoke out at a labour party convention. Physically thrown out. Disgusting.

Interesting point. The dance between protecting us from terrorists and protecting our individual rights. Example - we have an ITS system that tells you the time it takes to travel from one point on the freeway to the next. That is done by measuring the time it takes for the transponder in your car (cash tollways and all that) to move from point to point. Seemingly innocuous, but the data also tells someone WHO is moving from point to point, when they are doing it and how fast they are doing it. They could write me a ticket if they wanted to if they calculated that I was exceeding the speed limit, which would be easy because they know my transponder number and who I am. Big Brother is indeed watching. I am a 2nd amendment guy because I fear the power of uncontrolled government in my life and being powerless to stop it.

"Hitler's Britain" is strong stuff. But it's true: look at it: it's dictatorship disguised as democracy. And still people wonder why the disenchantment with politics keeps growing?

See, it's not appropriate to announce apocalyptic warnings but all we have to do is simply open our eyes and read the news very carefully. You can hardly deny that this is just the beginning of some development which is actually quite scary.

And the ITS system that Mayfield was talking about: this sounds disturbing to me. Is stuff like that really necessary? Are we really being protected by that?

Why are they currently building hundreds of concentration camps in the U.S. (F.E.M.A. camps)? Is this just a weird conspiracy theory? I don't think so:

I don't know what you guys think about that but I'm a little afraid that something big is just about to happen.

I have never seen Hitler's Britain. What is that? The ITS system is done for the "public good" and it probably is but the potential for abuse is enormous. I suspect half the people in Houston have the transponders in their car voluntarily so we can have the tolls from the tollways automatically deducted from our credit cards. They record every time you pass one of the toll plazas but you can see the next step. These "guys" know when I leave for work and when I get home. There are devices along the non-toll roads that read your transponder and then calculate the travel times between two points to tell other motorists how long a trip they can expect. You can imagine the potential for abuse in that. We take it for granted that it is not abused and it probably isn't - yet.

However, I live in Houston and I can address the FEMA camp issue. That was a catastrophe, not from the residents' view because they all lived a lot better than they did in New Orleans. The abuse of the public dole was tremendous. Payments that were supposed to buy food and essentials literally were used to buy "bling". And our crime rate skyrocketed when the Katrina victims arrived. It was more of a disaster for Houston than New Orleans.

The term "Hitler's Britain" is used in the youtube link Art posted above.

The toll system you are talking about... That's a nightmare. :omg:

I don't think this is happening now, but if you don't think you could be tracked by your cell phone and your internet use couldn't be monitored, well then...

And you guys can't even buy the weapons with which to protect yourselves.

I did a search for websights re concentration camps. Many of them link it to one world government and the UN. I don't know. I can't see what the UN wants with throwing a lot of us in concentration camps.

They take it back to some of the EOs signed by Nixon and every president since - both parties.

Why doesn't that surprise me in the slightest?

Sorry, I posted that before I went to the link - my mistake. I never realized that there were other FEMA camps. That isn't what FEMA is supposed to be for. FEMA is supposed to be for exactly what it did after Katrina - Come into an area and help people restore their lives (how well they did it is arguable). The other side of FEMA shown in those videos is creepy.
