I just recently discovered an awesome yet completely unknown group named "Tangier" which I wanted to share with you since there songs are in my opinion really awesome. I really don't know why they haven't been more famous.

Good find!

Their final guitarist Mike LeCompt still plays around Philly and the Jersey Shore and has a decent following for bar/cover band - I've seen him play a few times and he's always been a good performer.

In a recent discussion about underrated hardrock bands somebody mentioned to check out "Hurricane". Another band I never heard of before. Their album "Slave to the thrill" features some really awesome songs. Renowned guitarist Doug Aldrich provides some great and innovative riffs and vocalist Kelly Hansen (who later proceeded to sang for Foreigner) is fantastic on the vocals.

So in case you like this kind of music, I can only recommend to check it out

If you recall I have a garage full of old 80's Arcade Machines and when we have a gathering I have the old CRT TV in the corner playing 80's Music Videos. I have 595 in my collection, now 597! Thanks!

But that's not very likely, So Music videos it is.

Nonetheless I absolutely LOVE arcade machines, in fact - I grew up with those, I had 3 of those in my bedroom as a kid.

I used to hang out with the local arcade repairsman for the city's rather dubious hangout for degenerates at night, and when he closed shop, he was so eager to always show me the inside of those arcades.

He could be so exited saying, did you know kid...this is a separate Sound board, it has an 68000 processor JUST for the sound and Yamaha FM chips etc.

Pinball machines with the TMS 5220 Texas instruments speech processor.

And once in a while when drunk youngsters had smashed some arcade machine to bits, he'd trade or hand over some of the Arcade PCB's, gender-changers and joysticks to me - which I eagerly would re-connect to my RGB compatible Television (CRT) set at home, and become the neighborhood kids hero.

There's a much more sinister story to it as well, I think I'll share in a separate thread.
