Has to be my favourite actor of all time. The reason I choose him is purely the list of films he's made that are amongst my favourites. Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, Bachelor Party, Money Pit, Big, Dragnet, Polar Express, Castaway, Green Mile, Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, Turner & Hooch amongst many more. Superb. And the other things he's been involved with From The Earth To The Moon and Band Of Brothers. Tom's cool.
 
I share your opinion although I have to say that a lot of my friends really dislike Tom Hanks which I don't understand. Maybe they will change their opinion when I turn them into Burbanites on Burbs Day 2007.
 
I guess it'd be a boring world if we all agreed on everything. But I can't quite see why Tom is disliked by people. It's not like you hear of him beating his wife, taking drugs, drinking etc. Tom's cool.
 
he's a very pro actor and he seems like a very nice guy who is easy to befriend and fun to hang around. man, i'd LOVE to be his friend.
he's great in the Green Mile (mmm southern accent haha) and Big... such a sad but awesome movie.. lol and Turner and Hooch. one of those movies that i always end up watching when they're on at saturday nights. hehhe. <3
 
He's one of the greatest actors of all time. It's as simple as that. People don't have to like him as a person, but everyone should at least have some respect for him as an actor.
