Do you remember the bee scene when Ray and Art were running out into the street being chased by all those bees?
In the background, Walter who had been standing there staring at them knocking on the Klopek's door, actually ran into his house when they ran from the Klopeks yard.
It looked so funny because he really shouldn't have known why exactly they were running because you really couldn't see any bees. But he saw something had them on the move LOL!

Yes, and maybe that event provoked his heart problem later?
Yeah that's what I was thinking too...that he went into his house over something that anyone else would have just watched from their own yard and probably laughed, but he didn't want anything to happen to him because of a bad ticker.
Then maybe a lone bee somehow got into his house and he freaked out when he saw it.

Wathced it with my "new" girlfriend this weekend, her first viewing, and I looked for stuff in the background and I also saw Walter run into his house.
"I've never seen that before. I've never seen an old man carry a small dog, running into his house after seing grown men ring a doorbell. I've never seen that."

In order to find out if your new girlfriend is the right one for the future, it all comes down to one question: Did she like The Burbs or not?

I love that!
Also; "I've never seen that, I've never seen a guy raise a flag, salute it and then start running down the street screaming about stapling a dog's ass shut. I-I've never seen that."
Another little bit of trivia of stuff in the background;
The weird operation painting that the Klopeks's have in their home (or I should say in the Knapp's home) is a direct art piece from Night Gallery. I think it's from one of the earliest episodes of that series.

There's another thread around here somewhere about this. I have the 3 Night Gallery Seasons in my collection and I gave Season 1 a good watch and did not spot it. My job is not done yet, but so far I have not found this painting!
"The crows are too big for the bird feeder," she says.
I could be mistaken about what season it's actually from. My favorites were the very first ones like; Cemetery, then Escape Route and The House. There were many others that I liked. One of the best ones was; They're Tearing Down Tim Riley's Bar. I really liked that one, and the four that featured Joanna Pettet.
IIRC the episode was about a surgery or someone who was a weird doctor like Klopek.
