Okay. British summer is crap at the moment. But if it changes to hot hot hot....I have leave to come...

We've had our holiday this year. We had a fotnight in the Ballaerics. Very hot, very nice. Verrrry nice.

I'm in a very nice situation in that I have a ton of leave remaining. This means a coupla weeks at home. I'll probably mow the lawn, do some jobs around the house, this and that. But also, lie- down on a lounger, stretched out and relaxing. Beer will come into it. So will going inside when its dark, open all the windows and watching my fave summer films: Burbs and Rear Window.

What do you all do when you're at home for the week when it's nice weather?

Dude, I live in Houston and when it is not blazing hot and 100% humidity (4 months out of the year) the weather is beautiful. The coldest we get here is about 27 degrees fahrenheit or about -3 degrees Celsius and only for a couple of hours in the wee hours of the morning. Not even cold enough to freeze the tail off of a foaming squirrel. When I get a week off it is usually to Galveston to rent a beach house, fishing in the surf and walking the beach and sleeping and drinking beer, no, not Stroh's. How about that. Not as good as John Osbourn would have done in Australia but not bad.

My God - it IS SfaDan. I'm Chris. Remember? From 1998? we alone kept the board going for a year just you, peggy (stranger) and me?

John Osbourne, yeah, where's he now?

You were the one I mentioned who attempted the foaming squirrel....

I guess I take warm weather for granted:oops: ....but um I prefer winter...which we barely have here.

lawls. gawd we've had this HEATWAVE (for us peeps in the northern parts of norway, this is heat) - around 30 degrees celcius.. O_O we cant take it. we have nowhere to hide from the warmth.. nooowhereee! the weather has got to have changed the last couple of years, cause i cant remeber that it was this hot when i was a kid.

our winters are like -20 celcius, so it figures that we all go mad in this summerheat.
it's 10 pm now and it's still so HOTHOTHOT outside, lol! I'm in my friggin bikini, and maan am i warm. *__*
anyway, i like to just sit and be lazey when it's really hot outside. today i was down, wading in the sea. i try to get a tan sometimes, but i dont have the willpower.

Bonnie I noticed a certain desire for winter and coolness when I looked at the road maps on my Florida - vacation 1999.

Many towns bore names which included "Snow", "Winter", "Christmas" and so on. It was quite funny to read those names in view of the fact that it was 100 degrees Fahrenheit and 80% humidity.

It's weird isn't it? This time last year was the hottest summer in 347 years in Britain.

This year we are inundated with flooding. It hasn't stopped raining for weeks and weeks. Its still raining now. We haven't seen the sun yet.

It's July...

LOL, I kept dropping hints but they were pretty obscure ones cause I know how sharp you are, but, man you remembered Army of Darkness - that is pretty amazing. I remember you and it is good to be back on the board with you. That was a long time ago. Bonnie has done a great thing with this Board. I hope all is great with you.

Hi Dan. You could have said "You still got that beer for me" :)

Well, it's been a while. Yeah, she's done a great job with the board. Takes me back to the original one in its look and contents. And there's a load of us on here now. Wonder where Stranger/Peggy is? She'd love this!

Yeah, I probably should have ;) but it would have to be a Stroh's - favorite beer of Ricky Butler. I wonder if Peggy is here but with a different name.
