I would love a sequel. Though its been along time id hope even for nostalgia purposes Tom hanks would agree to do it ( does s he really need more money?) Id think Carrie Fisher would like do a good movie especially one so loved like the burbs. If u could get those two and maybe Cory feldman the rest might not be to hard. I know some of the actors of the Burbs have died but just for conversation if we could get those three on board what is a interesting script for a sequel? I know its prob never going to happen but any creative people out there? I wish the director of the Burbs would think about it unless hes going to,. I know that The Peterson would probably have grandchildren by now and Ricky all grown up with a teenage son of his own....

Yeah, involving their children respectively grandchildren might be a fun idea.

I was always dreaming of something like this: Ray, Mark and Art along with their wifes go on vacation. Yes, the dank wet cabin in the woods. But wait, that neighbour with the enormous head is somehow acting suspiciously. One morning Mark is suddenly gone and for Ray and Art there is only one person who can be responsible for this: the freaky neighbour with the enormous head!

very good! The cabin hmmm .. didn't think of that! I had a idea of hans getting released form prison... he has money from good ole dad. he secretly rebuild the house . Ray has no idea who and what because its been so long. Now we can introduce grand kids. Maybe he and carol had a daughter after this mess ( after such a tragedy alot of make up time? That daughter would be grown by now and the klopecs would only be something she heard about. Maybe the two kids grown with kids are visiting their parents foe a few weeks in the summer... In the meantime the new owner of this mystery house moves in and arts back at it again... I know alumnae of his movie are leaving us but we still have Carrie fisher and tom hanks but if they are going to make a sequel better get moving .. Time ticking!

Absolutely, they should hurry up!

I like your idea as well. I could also imagine that the story revolves quite a lot around the kids so that Art, Ray and Carol would only have some cameos in the movie (which might rise the probability of them agreeing with taking their old roles again). On the other hand, I wouldn't want it to be too much of a kids movie.

Cory seems like he might need work.. his character could have inherited his parents house and have a teenage son of his own. I can see Hans getting released from prison and enriched by his dad having left him money (having dies in the clink) he rebuilds this house and its off to the races.. other then Tom Carrie and Cory is there anyone left that is till alive? I suspect Courtney is .

Well Mark is still alive, Art as well. And Bonnie.

I don't know if this would work, but maybe a sequel where the roles of the wives were reversed. Art's wife (Suzette?), Carol and Bonnie notice strange behavior from whatever it is in the neighborhood and take matters into their own hands (the antagonist(s) being female as well, perhaps female klopeks). This time Ray, Art, and Mark are skeptical. I don't know, just an idea. As long as the actresses were as convincing as the first movie, it may be awesome. Kind of like a weird suburban charlie's angels.

Mhm, mhm, I like that idea as well as it turns things around. The incident from 1989 made the three wives very suspicious towards everyone while Mark, Art and Ray react far more relaxed after all these years. Also an interesting concept.

Maybe a female kloepc comes in... she can have bought Walters house? Maybe a daughter?... I wish the director would consider making a sequel but im just not sure if Tom Hanks would do it. ....

Id love to see a sequel but only if the main cast will return. I am sure Tom Hanks would be up for it.
