where was it filmed

this is probably already on here somewhere but where was it filmed and is the beginning where we see the earth from space and then goes down to ground level actually anywhere near mayfield place

The movie itself was filmed on Colonial Street in the Universal Studios but concerning the zoom at the beginning, some people hinted that the camera seems to zoom to some place in Iowa, probably Des Moines.

Also, that is the same street where Leave it to Beaver, The Munsters and Depreate Housewives were filmed.
