Happy birthday Burbs Board

Yes, indeed, life got in the way. It happens, but like a faithful friend, the Burbs is always there for you. Still my all time favorite.

I used to watch it almost every Saturday morning for years, then stopped watching it for about 5 years. Watched it last night again in the bedroom. Fell asleep about the time Art comes in for breakfast with the Peterson's (I know - didn't make it far). I will likely watch more of it tonight.

That is about as good as it gets for a Burbs fan

Motown made some great music (my favorites include My Girl and Midnight Train to Georgia) and Queen was a great band, but my all time favorite was Led Zeppelin, followed by the Beatles.

No, not how the Burbs should have ended, unfortunately, but this does give a small mention of the Burbs - you have to be quick though.

I wonder what happened to them. Hope they're OK. I still check in from time to time. Don't normally post, but for old times' sake I did today.

yeah, HBO doesn't censor anything (I know, I get it through the cable), but the networks do - even the fairly innocuous stuff like Rumsfield's lines - CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and even WGN all do it. Sometimes it is kinda funny to listen to it.

Hey Art, Have you ever had Cardhu Scottish Whisky? My Scottish neighbor got me some and it is excellent. It will make you fall down the stairs, though.

Get on youtube and watch them do covers of Led Zeppelin songs. They are awesome.

The US networks also substitute different words for some of Rumsfield's more colorful quotes. "There go the gosh darn brownies" :oops:

Well, that's what happens when you try to read too fast. Frame aside, it is an awesome poster.

Sorry guys, I am OK. We were without power for a while, but we weren't hit as hard as most. One of my neighbors had a the siding ripped off the attic of his house, first on the wind side and then on lee side as the wind began blowing through. That let the water in and his upstairs ceiling and...
