Any movie that gives you the same feeling as The 'Burbs?

When I heard you say Jacob's Ladder I had a certain film in mind, and now I realise that I was thinking of something entirely different. I don't think I've ever even seen that trailer before...

It looks very weird...I want to see it :)

It was mentioned several years ago in some lists which compiled "The most disturbing films of all time". So one day I decided to watch all these movies and I did. Most of them were disturbing in a repellent sense. "August Underground", "Salo", "Guinea Pig 3: Flowers of Flesh and Blood", "A Serbian Film", Nacho Cerda's "Aftermath"...This was all disgusting stuff. Jacob's Ladder however to me was really disturbing in a psychological sense.

I sometimes work my way through lists of films like that, and it's always a mistake. I'm too delicate...Scarred for life.

No need to watch the other films I mentioned as you're absolutely not missing anything, especially if you are the delicate type. And don't get me wrong, Jacob's Ladder has absolutely nothing to do with them. Otherwise I would not recommend it ;)

I'm definitely watching Jacob's Ladder! How about Aftermath? Is it worth watching? That's the only one on your list that I've heard of and I almost watched it a few months ago...

Well technically the film is very well done and it looks really good. However, the content (necrophilia) isn't for the faint of heart. I'd say: let it be.

Ah, necrophilia...I didn't realise it was about that. I thought it was just a very graphic autopsy that ended with the doctor's dog eating the paitent's heart!
