I've made a capture from the editions I own so you can check out
the differences, if you own different editions like german dvd, please send me a capture.Vhs too.Tv recordings etc.

I love that you have a French VHS version.

My copy is the USA Bluray and looks spot on to your image.

It's always cool to see more screen info with the vhs aspect ratio.

If anyone could provide a screencap from a version not listed in the initial post that would be cool, any vhs , laserdisc or dvd (like the german dvd ) Thanks for your time.

Not exciting, but I will have the US VHS for you in a few weeks. I love a good science project.

Thanks.

Hit a snag. I Have all the components to capture the video, but my VCR is now malfunctioning. Basically, it will start to play a tape but then stop. I know what the problem part is but have no idea how to fix it. Also to get at the problem part, I will have to take it all a part and my track record for things not working after I take them apart and put them back together again is really high.

I'll tinker with it and do some research over the next few days. I don't like the idea of not having a VCR for some of my old VHS tapes so I may try and find a working one that is selling for cheap.

This is becoming comical. I managed to disassemble the VCR and figured out the problem part. After re-assembly, I can get the VCR to play tapes. However, now the video to USB device or my VLCPlayer has problems and does not display the video (plays audio ok). I know the VCR is ok because I can output to the TV just fine. So on to this next problem!
