I don't think you'll asking me "who is it" from behind a dirty net curtain, because this message probably gives it away to those from the old board, but anyway...



Unfortunately the interior is not true to how the house appears in The 'burbs because it was necessary to add some modern features. A bit of artistic freedom went into the exterior as well.

Apologies for the poor textures inside. I spent so much time getting the outside correct and making things then fit inside that textures were a last-minute rush. It was literally the night before it had to be submitted that I settled on these and I was never happy with them. Maybe one day I'll get around to truly finishing the model.

This is the whole model with everything turned on (but not rendered because it takes about an hour per attempt!):


Also, I'm not sure whether there should be windows on the side wall adjacent to the garage. You never see that wall in the movie but there were definately windows there later on - a double sash window upstairs and a picture window next to the chimney at ground floor:

Very impressive, Chris..uhm I mean Barkelow! You even gave them a swimming pool :D

This made me conceive the idea/image of Werner, Hans and Reube hanging around the pool in their hibiscus swimming trunks :omg: Hey Mr. Klopek, no tan lines this morning. Looks nice.
 
Is it difficult to change the cloudy sky and turn it into a dark and stormy night with thunderbolts? This would change the mood within one instant.
 
I don't know much about AutoCAD or Microstation, but I suspect that the canned images you can download (if I have that right) were made with the Burbs in mind.

Are you also able to model people with this program?
 
There are some standard people included with AutoCAD, but they're just 2D flat images in a 3D space. Not very good. You can get better results rendering this in something like 3dsMax but I don't have that, nor do I know how to use it.

By the way, I just noticed that the side door is missing :oops: Let's try the side door... it's wide open!
 
I have worked with a lot of CAD operators but you seem to be talking about some pretty advanced stuff. The guys I work with do highway schematics, plans and profiles, etc.
