If the Burbs were made today (didn't someone do a post of that very topic?) the Klopeks would be the Khalils and would be fomenting terrorism in their basements. Instead of Ray coming out at night to check out the weird sounds coming out of the basement. He would be coming out at sunset to check out Ali (Hans) up on the roof chanting that prayer call that they do (sorry, don't know the term).
 
And at 8 minutes into the movie the police would arrest the entire street for racism LOL

Hahaha, the Ali Khalil story is great. And here we have the frame story for "The Burbs 2".

But honestly: can you imagine the riot, the sheer turmoil when a movie like this will be made? I promise you: cars will be set on fire and there will be thousands of muslims marching through the streets, even if in the end the Khalils would be innocent. Sad, but true.

Anyway, my fingers are itching (I hope this idiom exists in the English language), I guess I'll soon start writing an inofficial sequel.
