Burbs Day 2017!

It will soon be upon us! Second Saturday in July. This year, July 8.

Right now the day is clear on my Calendar, so I'm marking it as such.

Not sure how I will celebrate this year. Maybe walk around with an old guy's rug in my trousers all day. Maybe park a moving van outside ALL DAY! Or maybe just work on my tan-lines.

What are you gonna do? Is this the year where we use the Internet and setup a shared viewing of the film online? Electricity is our friend!







 
Oh-hoooo that's great, over!

It's going to be a big weekend for this batchelor boy. Have the house all to myself. I think I will fix the BBQ, hang around the house in my PJ's and drink a couple hundred beers.

Would be fun to do a live viewing.

I'll more or less reprise my 2016 Burbs Day which e.g. includes wearing my Burbs shirt and drinking some blood orange juice out of my Burbs cup. Ah, this is going to be great.
 
I'll be smoking some cigars in the basement and drive my garbage to the curb and bang it with a stick. I might even fix the bbq.

Don't forget that we, a couple of years ago, decided that the whole month of July is the official 'Burbs month. So starting from July the 1st and forward, feel free to celebrate this great time of year.
 
And, looking a little bit in the future, in 2019 it will be 30 years since the release (which is pretty hard to believe to be honest). We need somethiong really special for this one.

Affirmative soldiers! We gotta do it for real this time, 30 year celebration - that's really something to plan for!

Hm, you guys are right, July is coming up - and it will be a whole month of burbanite festivities indeed, I've been savoring this moment - and I've not watched The Burbs since last summer, so this will be special.

Anyone want to go down to the deli for a beef sandwich or something?
 
I was thinking to go down to the Bowl-a-rama for a beer or something.
