There's the conspiracy theory RP smelled...haha
RY could be on to something. Rickys parents could not have returned home on thursday as expected, if the Klopeks gave them the "furnace treatment"

Whew, imagine what a depressing ending this would have been.

After Ricky says "God I love this street" and strolls away, the funny music from Jerry Goldsmith starts playing. Suddenly it gets interrupted and we see some cop talking to Ricky, laying his arm on his shoulder. Ricky's breaking down and crying up in the sky "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and the camera zooms out into the universe perspective again...

sounds do-able to me!

No, no he wouldn't. Nobody on the block would..

Ricky wouldn't believe it anyway. He would choose to believe his parents just ran away
to join a hippie convent...haha

Yeah, they're probably just stuck on some Woodstock revival concert and smoking pot in their VW bus :D

damn dirty hippies.

Carrie should love 'The Burbs'. This movie has saved her from forever benign associated with only princess lea. I hope she recognizes that!

I am positive I saw an interview with her where she was asked what her favorite movie role was. She cited the burbs. Said she would come to the set on days where she wasn't on camera just to hang out and enjoy the fun. Still googling like a madman to find this interview I saw many moons ago. Will post if I find.
